In December of 2018, Cameron was a part of a toy giveaway in downtown Newport News alongside Councilwoman Saundra Cherry, Vice Mayor Tina Vick, and Chief of Police Steve Drew.  "I admire the dedication Councilwoman Saundra has for, not only the community, but the people in it. Hundreds of families were able to go home with gifts for the holidays. People like her have been a huge influence in my life and motivate me to always be a man my community can depend on; so anytime she calls I’m holding her down." - Cameron Bertrand

"It was so dope to return as a speaker for the second year in a row at the 9th Annual Boys Conference. Being able to to travel, to be on a platform to influence communities and the people in them, and tell my story under my own personal brand has been a dream come true. I met people today who have already had an impact on my life. Can’t wait to share details on how amazing this event was , but for now I am ready to celebrate what has been a life changing week for me." - Cameron Bertrand

"I've been volunteering my time in the streets and trenches outside of my career for years because it’s what I love to do. I’m not big on receiving awards for work that I know has to be done, so it took months for this one to digest. I am completely honored to be recognized on such a large platform that the distinguished gentlemen of the 900menstrong organization have been able to provide. Tomorrow will be another one for the books, and I appreciate who has supported me along the way." - Cameron Bertrand
